Encrypted Email Service Tutanota Tests the Payment Process using the Cryptocurrency

Today announced in a blog post, Tutanota, an encrypted email service provider, has begun accepting donations in bitcoin, ether, bitcoin cash and monero to test the payment process using the cryptocurrencies.

The German firm noted that those credit card companies and banks, which are independent of centralized processors, want to support those decentralized payment systems.

For the human rights activists, whistleblowers and journalists who require special protection, the company believes that they can support an anonymous email service for them.

Crypto approval was deferred due to code rewrite

To provide cryptocurrency approval for its professional and premium-level plans, Tutanota basically strategic. However, this feature has differed, due to the company’s encrypted email client’s need to upgrade performance and add the more options quickly.

A Reddit and Twitter pole disclosed the support level for these cryptocurrencies ranging from 16% to 27% for ether, bitcoin cash, or support for Monroe among users, which the company did not find encouraging. Some users wanted to support verge and Litecoin. Tutanota nevertheless decided to check three cryptocurrencies from the election along with bitcoin.

The company intends to use the donation wallets to laid-down how to automatically process the payments and how to manage cryptocurrencies.
